Who we are

IELTS-IQ is an IELTS preparation service operated from Beirut, Lebanon. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it.

What we collect

Information you give us

• Name, email address and phone number, when you book a session, submit a form on this site, or respond to one of our ads on Facebook or Instagram.
• Your written and spoken practice work, when you use the practice and marking features.
• Payment details, when you subscribe. These are handled by our payment provider and we never see or store your full card number.

Information collected automatically

• Pages visited, time spent, referring site and approximate location, through cookies and similar technologies.
• Device and browser information.

We use the Meta Pixel on this site. It records page views and sign-ups and reports them to Meta so we can measure our advertising. Meta may combine this with information it already holds about you.

Why we use it

• To deliver lessons, mark your practice work and give you feedback.
• To contact you about a session you requested or a class you are enrolled in.
• To process payments and manage your subscription.
• To measure and improve our advertising and our website.
• To meet our legal and accounting obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.

Who we share it with

We use third-party services to run the business. Each one receives only what it needs:

• Meta Platforms: advertising measurement, and lead information you submit through a form inside Facebook or Instagram.
• Supabase: secure storage of your account, practice work and feedback.
• Netlify: website hosting.
• Calendly: session booking and scheduling.
• Anthropic: automated marking of written work. Your writing is sent for assessment and returned as feedback.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and learning records for as long as you are a student, and for three years afterwards so you can return to your work. Contact details submitted through an ad form that does not become an enrolment are deleted after twelve months. Accounting records are kept for as long as Lebanese law requires.

Your choices

You can ask us to:

• send you a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• correct anything that is wrong
• delete your account and the information attached to it
• stop sending you marketing messages

Email hello@ielts-iq.com and we will respond within 30 days. Ask us to delete your data and we will, subject to records we are legally required to keep.

You can also refuse or delete cookies in your browser settings. Parts of the site may not work properly if you do.

Children

This service is intended for people aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16. If you believe a child has given us their information, email us and we will delete it.

International transfers

Our service providers store data outside Lebanon, including in the United States and the European Union. By using the service you agree to your information being transferred and processed there.

Changes

We will post any changes to this policy on this page and update the date at the top.
